Medical Ultrasound Awareness Month
October is Medical Ultrasound Awareness Month (MUAM), and ASUM is proud to be part of the global effort to raise awareness about the importance of medical ultrasound in healthcare. As a society that focuses on promoting ultrasound excellence, we are excited to celebrate MUAM by launching a multi-disciplinary virtual issue of the Australasian Journal of Ultrasound in Medicine (AJUM). Our goal is to highlight the multidisciplinary approach to using ultrasound for diagnosing medical conditions and improving patient care.
With the increasing use of ultrasound technology by medical professionals such as sonographers, radiologists, cardiologists, vascular or O&G specialists, emergency physicians, intensivists, rheumatologists, midwives, physiotherapists, and others, this virtual issue showcases high-quality ultrasound research across all areas of medicine. All articles are freely accessible in support of MUAM.
