The Delwyn Nicholls Scholarship
ASUM has the privilege of administering a new student sonographer scholarship on behalf of the estate of Dr Delwyn Nicholls. Many of you will fondly remember Delwyn who we sadly lost in 2020 after battling breast cancer. Delwyn was a sonographer with a passion for ultrasound education and a generous spirit to always help others. In recognition of her passion and wishes, ASUM will administer a scholarship in her name – the ‘Delwyn Nicholls Scholarship’ designed to support rural Australian sonographers in their 3rd or final year of study.
A sum of $5000 will be given to the successful applicant to support their education for those who would normally reside in regional Australia.
2024 applications for student sonographers are now open.
Applications are open all year round. The 2024 awards to be presented at the ASUM 2024 Conference Gala Dinner in Brisbane on Saturday, 2 November 2024, and applications must be received by Friday, 16 August 2024 for consideration.
