Australasian Society for Ultrasound in Medicine’s (ASUM) Purpose is to lead the practice of ultrasound in medicine by advancing the safe, effective, and innovative use of ultrasound technology through education, research, and professional standards.

ASUM’s governance structure is one of a public company, limited by guarantee and is governed by a Board of Directors which included elected Directors and Independent Directors as per the ASUM Constitution. The Board of Directors appoint a Chief Executive Officer to administer the organisation.
