Happy birthday to our journal AJUM – 20 volumes, 80 issues and thousands of quality research papers!
As many of our members recall, the journal was originally published as the Ultrasound Bulletin in February 1998 and renamed to the Australasian Journal of Ultrasound in Medicine (AJUM) in February 2009.
The global reach of AJUM is reflected in its readership, of which 53% of readers are outside Australia and New Zealand. The journal is successfully indexed in EMBASE, EBSCO Academic Collection, PubMed Central and Google Scholar.
As we celebrate and reflect over the past 20 years, please read the Guest Editorial on “Medical Ultrasound in Australia: A short history” by Dr Rob Gill, featuring historical photos and an overview of ultrasound technology.
