Happy new year!

For many, 2022 has not begun as we hoped, with many of you under a great deal of pressure to continue to provide healthcare for those in need. Thank you for all that you do. Our thoughts, gratitude and best wishes are with you.

Members continue to benefit from shared experiences; A recent discussion via ASUM Connect regarding  in COVID positive patients is an example of sharing ideas to help each other throughout these difficult times.

Consultation for the DR AS 5369:2021 (Reprocessing of reusable medical devices and other devices in health and non-health-related facilities) closes on Monday to allow us to respond on behalf of our members. This framework will be used for translating our current reprocessing guidelines, as DR AS 5369:2021 will supersede the AS/NZS 4187:2014 and AS/NZS 4815:2006 documents. Documents are available to members via .

In 2022, we hope to bring you the opportunity to come together and learn from each other as we continue to plan several events with optimistic caution. If you have not already, add 16-18 September to your calendar for the ASUM 2022 Conference in Adelaide.

Please let us know how we can help or any ideas you wish to see ASUM provide our members – wishing you all a safe and successful 2022.
