International keynote presenters share their expertise
Prof. Leandro Fernandez will be presenting topics such as
- Doppler in Carotid Artery Stenosis for treatment decision
- Skin vascular lesions: ultrasound for diagnostic and guided treatment.
- 3D Ultrasound in Nephro-urology
Prof. Michael Blaivas trained in emergency medicine and is considered a pioneer in POCUS. He has a special interest in ultrasound education, research and application development. His research interests over the past two decades span the range of medical fields – from resuscitation, vascular access and nerve blocks – to out-of-hospital applications that include space applications of ultrasound through his research on the effects of weightlessness on the eye.
Dr Freeman’s particular areas of expertise include non-obstetric ultrasound and uroradiology: Imaging and intervention. Andrology imaging. A regular invited expert speaker at National and International Conferences, Dr Freeman has published around 50 peer reviewed papers – and for a few years wrote the for BMUS newsletter as the Grumpy Old Ultrasound Consultant. Some of Dr Freeman’s presentations at Auckland will include:
