AJUM Editor in Chief Announcement
ASUM is pleased to welcome the new AJUM Editor in Chief, Prof Gillian Whalley. Prof Whalley has a strong history in Ultrasound, having trained as a cardiac sonographer in 1985. Her research work began early in her career and she has since published over 150 journal papers. Prof Whalley has served on a number of international journals, and as an Associate Editor with AJUM since 2018.
In her new role as Editor in Chief of AJUM, Professor Whalley is looking forward to working closely with the editorial board and the Australasian ultrasound community to increase the number of original research articles published.
“AJUM is Australasia’s premier journal for multidisciplinary ultrasound practice and we have the opportunity to develop both our local evidence-based practice and to enhance the research capabilities of our profession. I feel honoured to be trusted to lead the editorial team that will be steering AJUM forward and I am grateful for those who have been at the helm before – they have set the course well.”
