ASUM education is directed towards raising the standard of clinical ultrasound and includes a 'physics' component designed to provide an adequate level of understanding of the technical side of the craft.
Understanding the way ultrasonic imagers work is an essential prerequisite to understanding artifacts and in optimising examination technique for optimal clinical results. This physics component aims to assist clinical workers in understanding how much reliance can be placed on any particular image and in assessing both the accuracy and reliability of the imaging.
The Online Physics Program is an interactive educational program designed to develop your understanding of the Physical Principles underpinning the practice of clinical diagnostic ultrasound. It is organised as a sequence of 12 modules. Access to successive modules becomes available once preceding modules are completed while completed modules remain accessible for review. On completion of the final module you are able to order a completion certificate by email. This completion certificate will be sent to you by mail
Registration in the Online Physics Program entitles you to access the interactive educational program for 3 months. |
