Pulse inversion harmonic imaging (PIHI) in combination with contrast-enhanced ultrasound (CUS) has improved detection of lesions particularly in the liver.1-4 Levovist (Schering AG, Berlin) is an ultrasound contrast agent consisting of microbubbles of air covered by a thin layer of palmitic acid in a galactose solution.
